Volunteer Training - The Junior League of Birmingham is an Organization of over 2,000 women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
The Junior League of Birmingham focuses its community efforts through projects under four impact areas: Advancing Education & Culture, as education is the foundation to achieve one's full potential; Improving Health & Well-being, as improving health outcomes is fundamental to creating a vibrant community; Mitigating Crisis & Promoting Safety, as safety and crisis intervention plus prevention, preparedness, and readiness are critical are integral factors for communities; and Overcoming Poverty & Financial Instability, as every individual should have the training, support services, and opportunity necessary to be economically secure. The Organization currently support year-long direct service, done-in-a-day service projects, and short and long-term investment projects with multiple partners across Birmingham.
