Program areas at MSC
Msc's energy assistance program helps individuals and families to keep their lights and heat on through liheap (low-income energy assistance program) and pse helps funding. It also provided energy conservation education and training.
Recognizing that stability is the cornerstone to overcoming many barriers, msc offers an economic stability program providing resources for housing, education, and employment. Housing assistance includes permanent, transitional and emergency housing for individuals,families, veterans and seniors. Msc offers adult basic education, english as a second language classes and ged preparation courses. Employment services include skills training and job-seeking assistance and support.
The food bank provides supplemental food to residents of the federal way school district. People can visit the food bank once a week. Emergency bags and street bags are available to those who need them.
The state long-term care ombudsman (ltcop) program provides services throughout Washington state to improve the quality of life for individuals residing in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. Program objectives are to insure that long-term carefacility residents receive appropriate and fair medical treatment, have access to available resources and receive information about their rights.
